For viewing images in a gallery please click "Slideshow." Comments are usually available. My Zenfolio offers two basic kinds of photographs: a few astrophotographs and, for lack of a better term, all others, organized into various galleries with self-explanatory names. My interest in "other photographs" has burgeoned over the last year. And I've recently become captivated by HDR imaging.
I've moved rather quickly from a fine little Fuji FinePix S5200 10x optical zoom point and shoot to a superior Canon DSLR Xt, then the Xti and 40D (still have this one) to the present system, the Canon 5D Mark II. <vbg> I've moved the "keeper" Fuji and Xti images to a separate folder, simply because they are behind "the technological curve" set by the newer Canon DSLRs.
My primary intent here is to display images rather than offer technical details, such as processing, lens and EXIF data (always available on request). I shoot all images in "raw," and process with various platforms, including Adobe Lightroom 2, Adobe CS4, Photomatix and Carboni DSLR Actions. The HDR images are generally merged sets of 5 images at +/- 2, +/- 1 and 0 EV.
In case your wondering, Zenfolio allows folks to order prints online. This for-fee arrangement has nothing to do with me whatsoever. Please feel free to do so if you wish. The large format tiff files are not available here, of course.
For commentaries on "astroimaging" and astronomy more generally, please see my blog,
allthingsastronomical. These entries are "detailed," appealing only to those who have been initiated into the "arcane and dark arts" of taking night time photos of objects you can't even see.
